Ashes of Dreams - Snapshot #1

Finally had some time to really sit down and work through this piece today- spent some time on some of the more complex bars especially. It'd been a long time since I played with a met... but it was very rewarding! I wish I took a video of my playing before all the practice so the improvement is more obvious, but I'm very happy with the progress I made with just one practice session.

The fancy jazzy bars have several different types of rhythm in rapid succession so the challenge was to be able to switch to each rhythm fluidly while also playing cleanly... I honestly thought it would take more time to get even close to the official recording but today paid off more than expected :) Still need to refine and practice, but I think I established a really solid foundation today.
