Stand Your Ground #4
Hello!! It’s been a while, had some personal stuff going on.. but things are resolved now and I was able to take a progress video of the whole piece. It’s not great, but at least it’ll help me gauge my progress.. I’d say I’m about 70% done with the piece, with my goal being 80%. There are some parts that are just physically so beyond me that I am lowering my own standards, but more on that later..
Stand Your Ground #3
Short update today- brushed up older sections and worked on the next few, but still work in progress. I took a break the past couple of days so I’m a little rusty but I wanted to update this week before I learn any more of this.. and didn’t have access to the usual setup today, so just phone audio. Volume warning!! Also not sure if it’s just me, but a few sections look super laggy on video, so.. sorry for the janky quality all around lol.
Stand Your Ground #2
Here’s the first.. third or so of the piece, now that I’ve spent a week working on it. This is the section I’ve learned before most, so the notes came back to me easily and it was more a matter of really fine-tuning the maneuvers and also musicality. Still rough, but I think it’s a good progress marker, all things considered. Also recorded later sections that I haven’t practiced yet, but I wanted them on camera so I can look back later.
Stand Your Ground #1
I’ve finally come back to “Stand Your Ground”- this is an initial recording to gauge where I’m at, but this isn’t a blind sightread since I have worked a bit on this piece before. With that said, it’s been well over a year since I’ve touched this, so my memory is foggy at best.. and a warning that the audio is just phone audio, I never know how long these first videos will take so I just opt for phone-only recordings.
